My Continual Habitation

Our Healing Moments

(Meditating on Psalm 71)

I love how the King James Version puts it: Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort. The Lord God is David’s strong habitation, and He is mine, too. And I’m not saying it just because the Bible says so, but because I have experienced first-hand how to continually resort to God. Yes, even in sleeping hours. When one is sick and suffering, God, indeed, becomes a continual habitation: every labored breath, every faint heartbeat, every ray of hope, every thought that’s actually a thought-prayer, every earnest song the soul sings – rests in the comfort and security of this sure habitation that surrounds, embraces even, one’s being.

A habitation is a place where one lives. Even though one may go to a journey, always, one would come back to where one dwells. But with my Father in heaven, I see it more than that…

Our Healing Moments

Did the heavens celebrate when you garnered that gold medal or when you passed that difficult board exams? Or did the angels of God sing and dance when you married the love of your life, or shout “Cheers!” when you snagged that much-coveted job? Or did they party on cloud 9 when you built your dream house, parked your shining brand-new car in your garage, toured around the world, and shopped at posh boutiques? You can never be certain. But there is one thing that we know is true: there was rejoicing with the angels of God in heaven when you returned to God and repented.

In this short verse, we get a glimpse of the heart of God through the words of the Lord Jesus:

In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. (Luke…

Okay, so I have finally taken the bait and decided to create a blog! This has been a long time coming, but I have finally overcome the excuses (and even some laziness) so that I can begin this journey.

So why a blog?! Why not?! I desire to use all my talents, gifts, and abilities to honor and glorify Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 10:31) and the Lord has blessed me with a knack for technology-related skills, and I intend to use these skills wisely.

Unfortunately we see and hear so many negative things as we go through the day or we face many challenges that may make us feel alone. But the Bible tells us that there is nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9) and that the temptations you face are common to all of mankind (1 Corinthians 10:13), so what you are facing has been dealt with by millions of people, and above all by Jesus Christ while He was on this earth (Hebrews 4:15). I want to use this blog as a way to encourage you that even though you may be going through the problems and trials of life, you are NOT alone! There are others out there, and above all we can find strength to carry on in the Word of God!

To those of you that do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour, I want to reach out to you and help you to know Him for yourself! To know Jesus and do His will in this life is the only true source of fulfillment, without Him, no “success” can truly be realized. Soon, I will have a link on the toolbar with Bible studies that also talk about knowing Jesus and what the Bible says about salvation. If you would like more information do not hesitate to contact me! I love teaching Bible studies, and am available to do so via Skype, GTalk any other method that works for you!

Well, I guess that is the best way to summarize my purpose and intent for this blog. Now, let’s go!

Yours in Christ,
